This III International Congress AINISE 2022 – SCIENCE AND CONSCIOUSNESS aims to introduce a subject that is rarely addressed in the Spanish context, both in universities and by public institutions.

In different parts of the world, the field of work with equines is a subject that is becoming increasingly important in the academic and professional world.

 Interactions with Horses, Equine Therapy, Hippotherapy, Adapted Riding, Therapeutic Riding, Para-Equestrian Sport, Assisted Driving, Educational Riding,... In short, all the disciplines involved, currently and necessarily demand the implementation of educational models that are increasingly specialties, research, overcoming a traditional and obsolete "pseudoscience" model where they have been pigeonholed over the years in Spain and the transition towards other possible forms of regulation of the sector.

 We are witnessing more and more the explosion of a powerful movement with great organizational and mobilization capacity of professionals who advocate another way of understanding the treatments of different pathologies today, treatments that, on the other hand, have been very important throughout throughout history, with extensive literature on the subject.

 For these reasons, it is undoubtedly more necessary and urgent to appeal to institutions that, due to their scope of work and their ability to influence society, can and should play a key role in transforming previous work models towards other possible forms of treatment, also highlighting the profile of the students, where special attention must be focused, since they are the future of Spain that currently has a large infrastructure of professionals dedicated to Healthy Interactions with Horses , in all the Autonomous Communities, with a wide international projection and the properties to develop a good use of Therapeutic and Educational Processes endorsed by large universities, where to develop research programs that connect, articulate and integrate the tools to contribute to improvement, participation and competitiveness of the country's scientific and academic production.

 In conferences such as this one, the regulatory needs of the Healthy Interactions with Equines sector are highlighted, as well as the need for an educational offer, careers and courses to present students and society in general with a curricular and pedagogical design compatible with current legislation and adequate to current demands, among other actions.

 It is necessary to reflect on the implementation of this Congress in order to improve the concept of work with equines and provide it with the seriousness and scientific acuity of the work of the multidisciplinary teams involved in it.

* One of the drawbacks of not being able to combine scientific studies is the nomenclature we use, which is so diverse that it makes its classification difficult. For this purpose, in a work carried out from PATH (USA), and with HETI and the European network EEFTN in agreement, the term EAS (Equine Assisted Services) has been selected to refer to any type of assisted professional service. with equines and then what is considered appropriate will be specified, depending on the specialty of each assisted intervention/interaction.
